COVID-19 Updates for Lions of Paris Clients

We would like to thank all Lions of Paris clients who have shopped with us - we appreciate your kindness and support. We are actively following the latest developments regarding the COVID-19 / Coronavirus pandemic happening globally and want to keep you informed about how it is affecting our business and your order. We are continually adjusting our operations to stay healthy and comply with various guidelines and restrictions.

Status: Back to "normal" operations! It is taking an average of 2 to 6 business days for us to custom make garments for new orders.

Shipping: Parcel delivery is slightly longer than usual for all global destinations. The volume of shipments has increased significantly and most carriers have temporarily paused Express shipping options, so please expect delivery delays.

Destinations: We've disabled purchases from the following countries temporarily as they've stopped accepting international shipments: Brunei, Eritrea, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Laos, Martinique, Mongolia, Myanmar, Reunion Island, Samoa, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, South Sudan, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Yemen.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We hope you are safe, healthy, and taking care of yourself and your family. We wish you the absolute best! If you have any questions or concerns, please email us: hello@lionsofparis.com

Merci beaucoup!

It has been quite awhile since our last update and we wanted to share the latest details. We continue to operate as "normal" with our team producing our clothing in 4 to 7 days, though the strain of masks and social distancing is continually stressful. Shipping times are hit and miss, with some parcels arriving instantly and some taking longer than expected. Paris itself has seen a resurgence in the virus and we've gone back into lockdown for the third time, with a nightly curfew. 🤦‍♀️ We so badly want to get back to normal!! We appreciate all of you for shopping with us and having a little extra patience and understanding for the occasional production or shipping delay. Thank you so much! Merci beaucoup!

A holiday update for all our wonderful clients. The holidays and the larger volume of orders have increased our production time by an additional day or so, averaging 6 to 7 days for us to complete new orders and get them shipped. Shipping times are also longer as carriers deal with the massive volume of parcels being shipped around the world. The tracking link we send you may take longer to update, and the estimated delivery date may get extended, but rest assured that your parcel is on its way. We appreciate your purchase and your understanding during these incredibly busy times. We also want to wish you the best of the season whether you have snow on the pavement or sand in your toes. Meilleurs vœux! Best wishes!

A quick update... the time it takes for us to make our garments in Europe and the USA is back to normal - a speedy 2 to 7 days!! We all hope it continues this way and that everyone stays safe and healthy. Merci!

September 16, 2020

Our fulfillment time for garments made in Europe is back to normal, with orders taking from 2 to 7 business days! Hurrah! Orders made in the USA have also improved, with orders taking 3 to 8 business days - not quite normal yet but we're almost there. Where we make the garments for your order depends on your location, the fastest fulfillment time, and the most efficient shipping method. Many thanks go to our print makers and couturières for all their amazing work! We hope you look beautiful in your Lions of Paris ensembles. Bisous!

A passion for life!

August 14, 2020

A petite update... we have almost returned to normal operations. It now takes us an average of only 10 business days to custom make garments for new orders. Our team continues to stay safe and healthy while working very hard on printing, cutting and sewing new garments for your order. We look forward to making you an active outfit that allows your beauty to shine!

More good news! We are catching up faster and becoming more efficient than we anticipated, and it is now taking us an average of only 15 business days to make garments for new orders. This is still much longer than the 5 days we averaged before this all began, but a silver lining is a silver lining! International shipping is still a challenge... customs and mail systems are overwhelmed and hold onto parcels much longer than normal, but hopefully this improves soon. Merci beaucoup!

A bit of good news! Our production delays are slowly but steadily improving. We are starting to catch up on our backlog of orders, and have been able to reduce production time for new orders to 20 business days. It's not much but it is an improvement, and any ray of hope is welcome at this time!

We know that what we do - make beautiful activewear for discerning active women - is not essential and may seem frivolous. But for everyone who works within our organization, their livelihood is essential, from our print and pattern makers, to our seamstresses, to our customer support team, and you have no idea how much we appreciate every client whom has made a purchase from us over these past few months. It has kept us alive.

So our hearts go out to everyone that is struggling through this strange and unknown time, from those who have lost their jobs and are trying to keep their family safe, to health care workers trying to heal people as best they can, and to everyone else that is simply trying to make sense of the world and their place in it. Every one of us deserves empathy and kindness and love. This is our wish for you and we hope you spread it to everyone else.

Be the person your childhood self would be proud of. Bisou bisou!

Life is starting to return to semi-normal in Paris, with the tight lockdown and most restrictions ending last week. Cafés and restaurants have re-opened, though with new social distancing measures - everyone is outside on the street! Shops are allowing fewer customers inside, parks and the Seine are busy, and masks are quite prevalent. We are all hopeful that we continue in this direction safely.

Work is another matter... while we design in Paris, we produce in Spain, Latvia, California, and North Carolina, and each continues to face its' own challenges. Numerous restrictions and social distancing rules remain in place, which continue to slow our production times, and we are still unable to drastically improve our average of 25 business days. Sometimes we get lucky and orders are made much quicker, but overall there is still a significant delay. We're doing our absolute best and we thank you for your purchase and your patience. Merci!

Life in Paris!

May 20, 2020

Our production teams have reached a crescendo. With all the wonderful orders we've received from you, our clients, we believe we have peaked in our production time - 25 business days for new orders of our custom-made garments to be completed and shipped. We know this is difficult for some clients, but we appreciate you staying with us through these unbelievably challenging times. From the bottom of our hearts, merci.

The struggle is real!

Two steps forward, one step back? One step forward, two steps back? When life gives you citrons make limonade? Regardless the cliché, life and work continue to be challenging for everyone. Due to the recent volume of orders we've received it is now taking us an average of 20 business days to custom make garments. We apologize immensely for this but our printmakers and couturières are working their hardest yet bursting at the seams.

In addition, California extended their stay at home period but are guiding us towards expanding the work in our atelier - thus we are still uncertain when we can increase staff and shorten our timelines. Orders out of Europe are a bit quicker - still around 15 business days to complete - but shipping from Europe is taking significant time to find its way through the various international mail systems.

We appreciate all our clients and your tremendous patience. We hope there is more light at the end of the tunnel by the end of May. Until then, we wish you all the best! Nous vous souhaitons le meilleur!

The view from inside...

May 4, 2020

A quick update with a ray of sunshine. Our time to make garments for an order now averages 15 business days, but we see signs of improvement. Paris is only a week away from an end to total lockdown, with some restrictions ending on Monday May 11th. Our atelier in Latvia has been operating quite efficiently and getting a bit better each day. Our atelier in California is still a challenge, but state regulations may be eased earlier than expected, with a chance we open more fully next week. We know that all of this will be slow and gradual but we are truly looking forward to life feeling slightly more normal and regaining some semblance of freedom. Vive la liberté! This Lions needs to roar!

Hear Lions of Paris roar!

April 22, 2020

Mon Dieu! Our sincerest thank you to all our clients. We thoughts purchases might slow down during this difficult period for everyone, but they have in fact sped up! Unfortunately it is now taking us longer to make garments due to Stay at Home orders and social distancing guidelines, with the current average time being 12 to 16 business days. If you have a little patience we will gladly make whatever you desire! Please stay strong, stay safe, and stay healthy!

April 8, 2020

We have disabled purchases and shipping to a vast number of countries, which we will continually update at the top of this post, as they no longer accept incoming international mail. We apologize for any inconvenience.

March 26, 2020

We continue to adjust as Stay at Home orders are adopted in counties, states, and countries where we make our garments. Our Los Angeles operations are running at a very reduced capacity and we've shifted to North Carolina, while our Latvian operations continue to operate in a relatively normal fashion. Shipping times are somewhat extended as parcel processing has slowed, while overnight and express two-day can no longer be guaranteed and we've removed these as shipping options.

This global crisis has affected everyone. Paris is in lockdown as are many cities and places around the world. We hope that you and your family and friends stay safe and healthy. Try to stay active with exercise each day, eat healthy, and get a breath of fresh air when you can. Find moments to slow down and reflect or meditate, focusing on the present moment to relieve all anxieties. Control what you can and accept what you can not. And remember, you are not alone - we are all in this together. All of our best wishes to you.

March 16, 2020

As you know, every garment we sell is custom made-to-order by talented designers, print makers, and couturières. We have always been decentralized, working from home and small offices in different parts of the world - Paris, London, Berlin, New York, and Vancouver - with some cities being impacted more than others.

Many members of our team, and those of our suppliers in Riga, Latvia and Los Angeles, California, rely on Lions of Paris for their livelihoods, so we are working hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance. As such, we have implemented new measures to ensure everyone's health and safety. Everyone who can is working from home, and those who are working on-site have had their shifts staggered to limit contact, while the frequency of cleanings has increased. This is managed continually and anyone who feels sick is required to stay home.

All our efforts may have an impact on how long it takes to make your garments and ship your order. It usually takes us 3 to 5 days to complete making your order, and 2 to 10 days for your order to ship and be delivered. Orders may now take a few additional days to be completed, and shipping times globally may be longer as shipping companies deal with the situation.

We sincerely thank you for being a client and are appreciative of your patience.

The streets of Paris have become eerily empty and it feels unbelievably weird. We are so happy that everyone is practicing social distancing in order to keep everyone safe, but it is a strange sight. P.S. This was taken while on a quick grocery and essentials run.

Empty Paris Streets - March 2020

March 12, 2020

The realities of the Coronavirus outbreak have begun to truly hit home. We are making rapid adjustments to deal with the evolving situation. We will begin to post updates for our clients regarding their order and shipping times, and how we are managing through this. It appears as though the tourists have left and only locals remain. These are strange times...
